Toby & Nina Ottosson Brick Game
Mom brought home a super cool toy today. She says it's suppose to give my brain a workout. All I know is that she puts treats in there and I have to figure out how to find them. As long as treats are involved, I'm in! Oh, mom says to please ignore her oh-so-annoying voice.

Toby vs. Turtle
Everywhere I go, people think I'm a girl. I'm not sure why since I only wear black, blue, grey and green. These are all very manly colors. I've decided to work on my manliness so I can be tough. Boys are tough and if I'm tough, then everybody will know I'm a dude. Mom brought this tough turtle back so I can practice my tough skills. I think I did a good job.

All the wrestling made me super tired so it's time for a nap. For some reason, my bed looks pink in some photos. It's not pink. It's blue and beige. I think these are super dude colors!

Here are a few more snapshots of me being really tough. Oh, mom says that these the tough turtle in this post is from here the Kyjen Company. They make pretty cool stuff that you can rip apart. You can find them here: http://www.kyjen.com/

It's been a while!!
It's been quite a while since my last blog. I've missed all you guys a lot!! Mom has been taking a break from blogging b/c she's been lazy. I'm not going to make any excuses for her... Summer has finally arrived and I told Mom she had to post some pictures and videos before all my blog buddies forgot about me!! Here's mom making me pose for pictures before we started our hike.

I was way to excited to stand or sit still for pictures! Mom was hopeful and kept snapping away. Nope, I'm not going to cooperate!! Can we just get moving now???!!!

Mom thinks I'm "smiling" in this picture but I'm actually snarling.

This is the best part of the hike.... the creek!! This is Lynn Creek and it's so much fun! There's water and sand which is the BEST combination!!

It feels really good to dip my paws in some cool creek water after a long walk. Mom gets into the water too but she wouldn't post any pictures of herself. That's just unfair!

Here are some videos that mom took...

Don't watch the video below pleeeeeease!! Mom caught me doing something that she said was not so nice.

That's all for now... I'll try my best to get Mom to update my blog regularly. I've missed all of you so much!! I hope you guys are having a great summer.

Love,
Tobes

Snow Day.... I mean Snow Week!
It snowed all day yesterday and look at all the snow we got! It's been like forever since we've had this much snow. The best thing about it all is that there is no salt on the ground yet. Let me tell yah, salt sucks. It makes you walk all funny and then mom has to pick me up like a sack of potatoes. So not cool.
Whenever I take Mom for her walk, she always lags behind. I think its because she's out of shape and her butt is too big. She's always complaining that it's really difficult to get a good picture of me. I think she's just saying that because she wants me to walk behind her or alongside her... But I don't think so.
Ok, fine. I'll sit nicely for ONE picture. I better get a GINORMOUS treat for being such a good dude.
Here's moms attempt at a scenic shot. Not too shabby right? As I mentioned in my last post, it's been really really super freezing cold here lately. We've been experiencing temperatures in the MINUS 15 range. That's minus 15 degrees celcius!!! This is actually a photo of the little pond next to our house. You can kind of see the ice peaking out from all the snow. During the evening hours, Moms been making me wear a sweater AND a jacket. If it gets any colder, I'll be wearing more clothes than Mom.
One thing I've learnt about snow is that it's kinda like sand. It gets stuck in places that it just shouldn't be. Nothing a good shake can't get rid of though.
Is that my buddy Nuo across the street?
Ok Mom. Enought with the pictures!!! I mean it.
Come on Mom!! Can we stop taking pictures and enjoy the snow?
Uh... the tree is moving!! I was quick to get into my ready to attack mode. I'm pretty sure that trees should not be moving around! Oh wait, it's just a bird knocking the snow off. Turning off attack mode.
Can you see me in this picture? I guess the leash kinda gives it away.
Mom says I'm a scavenger... I disagree.
As much as I love snow, it obviously loves me more. Loves sticking to me that is.
Here's a few more shots that Mom took of the snow and the folks that help clear the roads. They have a long day ahead of them.

Ok, here's a video of me dragging Mom around in the snow. Enjoy!

It's FREEEEEZING!
It's so cold here, my paws almost froze off! According to the news, Mom says it hasn't been this cold in Vancouver since the 60's! We got some snow on Friday, but most of that has turned into popsicles. If you factor in the wind chill (whatever that is), it currently feels like minus 17 degrees outside!!
Mom said we had to keep our walks short but I was like why? I'm a big dude and I can take the cold. Well, 5 minutes into our walk, I couldn't feel my paws anymore! I started walking all funny (like I had just gotten off a horse). Mom quickly picked me up (how unmanly is that?) and started rubbing my paws. I must admit, I felt much better immediately. I could tell she was gonna carry me all the way home so I started to put up a fight. Mom said, "Fine... you can walk but make it quick".
Mom mentioned something about these boots she had bought me and how I should really start wearing them. Er, I don't think so. Boots are for the weak which I'm NOT!

Seriously
This is my "I'm so serious, can you please stop taking pictures so we can go out for walkies face".
Mom was asking me about the toys in the background. Something about putting them away blah blah blah. I had no idea what she was talking about. I gave her my best "I am SO serious about having no idea what you're talking about face". What do you think?

My Kamloops Buddies Came for a Visit!
My pals Digby and Casper came all the way from Kamloops for a visit!!! Um, the one that's barking non-stop is Casper, aka Mr. Barky Face. I guess you'll be able to recognize me without any problems (I'm the one doing the happy growl). Digby is way too lady like for this nonsense and quietly watches the madness.

It's me. The TOBEster
I live in Vancouver and as some of you know.... it rains all the time! Well, not all the time. Just most of Fall and Spring. Mom went out (without me) and came home with this. The woman just doesn't "get" it. I don't like clothes. Yah yah yah, I know, it keeps me dry and blah blah blah. But it still doesn't change my mind about clothes. What's worse than clothes you ask? Clothes with a hood. I can't even see!

Who turned the lights out? Mom helped me with the hood and phew, I can see now. Still don't like it though.

As mom got dressed I decided to sulk.

Ok, I'm done with complaining....

Long time since we've posted
It's been a long time since Mom and I have posted! Mom and I have been visiting blogs but we haven't been leaving comments.
Mom and I have be going for long walks and hikes lately. My friend Nuo came along as we hiked along Lynn Canyon.

Here I am with Nuo's & his Dad, Roger. I guess Roger really loves us b/c he was willing to carry us even though we were covered in mud and who knows what else!
